I was doing a little research this morning and came across a couple of websites that looked like good sites for advertising. But I couldn’t find any information on the site about the owners or managers. And if I can’t figure out who you are, I’m not going to spend any money on your site.
I understand the desire to guard your privacy and to protect against the ever-growing onslaught of spam email, but if you’re going to succeed in doing business online, you have to establish some level of personal connection with your site visitors and provide a sense that you can be trusted. At the very least, businesses need to provide contact options other than a website form (I prefer to see a mailing address and/or phone number as an alternative to email) .
I don’t need your whole life story, I just need to be sure I can contact a real person who is committed to good customer service and will answer my questions or attend to any problems.
