Orkut.com - Owned by Google and a Google account is required. Orkut is popular with young people in South America and India.

LinkedIn.com - Primarily a business and professional network, LinkedIn is often used to connect employers and job seekers.

Friendster.com - Currently very popular in Asia.

Hi5.com - Popular with young people in South America and Asia.

Bebo.com - Popular in the United States and United Kingdom, Bebo users seem particularly interested in entertainment.

Yelp.com - Users review local businesses.

tribe.net - Another network that is grouped more by geographical location.

Buzznet.com - Music and pop culture communities, appealing o young people.
