The FTC is fighting fire with ice cream and I think it’s a great way to get the message across. To avoid being scammed, educate yourself, reseach the company, and make sure all of your questions are answered before you sign. Be sure you completely understand what you’ll be selling and how you’ll be selling it. Some of the warning signs that a business might be a scam are promises of huge profits with little or no work, companies with no real product or service for sale, and offers to pay you for recruiting others. Trust your instincts and never allow yourself to be pressured into joining.
